The US Hereditary Angioedema Association, Inc. (HAEA), founded and staffed by HAE patients and HAE patient caregivers, is a non-profit patient advocacy organization dedicated to serving persons with all types of angioedema.
The HAEA has designed this simple and easy to use tool, the ACT app, to help you record basic information about your Hereditary Angioedema attacks and treatment. ACT stands for Access to Continued Therapy. Collecting information about your HAE attacks can be of tremendous value in defending against any insurance challenges to your access to HAE medicines and will also help your doctor manage your HAE to help you achieve lifelong health.

The 2013 Recommendations for the Management of HAE published by the US HAEA Medical Advisory Board (p.463) strongly encourages HAE patients keep this type of attack log.

This free application from HAEA allows you to:

· log your HAE attacks

· setup treatment reminders

· create graphs to illustrate your attack data

· store your emergency contact information

· and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
======================

1. How do I register to use HAEAs myAct App?

Once you have opened the myACT app, simply click on the SIGN UP bar and fill in your email address and create a password.

Be sure to keep your password handy in case you should ever forget it!

2. I used the application on my old device. Do I need to register again for the new device?

You can continue to use the same login and password that you had on your old device on the new device. You do not need to register for the application again. You can use the myACT app from as many devices as you like. Simply use the same credentials on each device.

3. Can I use the application both on a phone and a tablet?

Yes, you can use the myACT app from as many devices as you like. However, you will only see the reports and logs that you created on that specific device. That means, if you put 3 logs on one device in January and 4 logs on your second device in February you can only create a report from your phone for 3 logs, not from all 7. It is recommended that you use only one device for using your myACT app so that all of your information is easily accessible on one device.

Having the ability to see them on all your devices is a feature we will be releasing in a future upgrade of the application.

4. How do I reset my password?

One the login screen, you should see a link for "Forgot my Password". Click on the link and it will lead you through the flow to reset your password.

5. How do I change my password?

Look for the MENU icon at the top right corner of your device. Click on MENU. You will find Password in the list of settings. Simply click on Password, enter your old password and a new one twice. Click DONE in the top right corner and begin using your new password.

6. I registered for the application but when I go to add the log, it prompts me to enter the user profile instead. How do I get beyond that?

You must fill out your Profile information before you will be able to use log feature of the app. You can also go to your Profile by clicking on the MENU icon at the top right of the Attack Log page you are on. Once you have filled out your information, remember to click Done at the top right. Now you are ready to add your first log!

7. I filled out an attack log but I don’t see it now.

Please be sure to click DONE in the top right corner before you leave any page to save your information.
